CPR Certification Course

Refresh your lifesaving skills and maintain your CPR certification with our nationally recognised HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation course.

This practical course gives participants the knowledge and confidence to recognise a cardiac emergency, perform effective CPR and safely use an automated external defibrillator (AED). Training is suitable for workplace first aiders, healthcare and support workers, fitness professionals, security personnel, volunteers and anyone wanting to remain prepared for an emergency.

Course content includes:

• Recognising an unconscious or unresponsive casualty

• DRSABCD emergency response procedures

• Assessing breathing and commencing CPR

• Adult, child and infant CPR techniques

• Safe and effective use of an AED

• Managing safety risks during resuscitation

• Working with other responders

• Communicating incident details to emergency services

• Completing required workplace incident documentation

Training includes practical demonstrations, hands-on activities and competency-based assessment. Participants must demonstrate CPR on a manikin positioned on the floor for the required assessment period.

Upon successful completion, participants receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment for HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, issued through our partner RTO, Allens Training Pty Ltd (RTO 90909).

CPR skills should be refreshed regularly, with annual recertification commonly required by workplaces and industry bodies. Please confirm the specific requirements of your employer or professional association.
