We aim to collect only the information reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is required. Nationally Recognised Training and Partner RTOs Tac-Offroad currently delivers nationally recognised training in partnership with Registered Training Organisations (RTOs). Where Tac-Offroad is delivering training on behalf of a partner RTO, additional personal information may be required to meet enrolment, assessment, record-keeping, regulatory and certification requirements. Depending on the arrangement, information may be collected by Tac-Offroad on behalf of the partner RTO or provided to the partner RTO for these purposes. The relevant RTO may have its own privacy policy and statutory obligations regarding the collection, storage, use and disclosure of student information. Photographs and Video Tac-Offroad may use photographs or video during training for legitimate training, assessment, evidence or promotional purposes. Where photographs or video are intended for marketing, advertising, social media or other promotional purposes, appropriate permission or consent will be obtained. Where photographs or video form part of assessment evidence for nationally recognised training, they will be handled in accordance with the requirements of the relevant partner RTO and applicable privacy requirements. Disclosure of Information Tac-Offroad may disclose personal information where reasonably necessary to: • the relevant partner RTO; • authorised trainers, assessors, employees or contractors; • organisations that have engaged Tac-Offroad to provide training to their personnel, where appropriate; • service providers supporting legitimate business operations; • emergency services where necessary to protect health or safety; or • government, regulatory or law enforcement authorities where required or authorised by law. Reasonable administrative, physical and electronic security measures will be used according to the nature and sensitivity of the information. Where training records are managed through a partner RTO's systems, those records are also subject to the RTO's information security, privacy and record-retention requirements. Information will be retained for as long as reasonably necessary or as required by applicable legal, regulatory, contractual or RTO record-keeping requirements. When information is no longer required and there is no obligation to retain it, reasonable steps will be taken to securely destroy or de-identify it. Health and Sensitive Information Some training activities, particularly first aid, remote-area and practical training, may require participants to provide information concerning medical conditions, injuries, allergies, accessibility requirements or other information relevant to their safe participation. Such information will only be collected and used where reasonably necessary and will be treated with an appropriate level of confidentiality and security.
